Check every result against the prescription, your institution’s protocols and the patient’s condition before use.
Clinical decisions remain yours
A calculated rate does not determine whether a fluid, medicine or transfusion is appropriate. Pediatric infusions, high-risk medicines and blood products require the applicable clinical protocols, monitoring and suitable equipment. Drops counted over 10 seconds are an estimate, not a substitute for monitoring.
